Habitat Poem

Habitats poem

Eagles soar through the sky
Or birds nesting in trees so high
Whether there within the branches of a tree
There are some many places for animals to be

Hiding low on the ground
Camouflaged, now you can’t be found
Splashing about in the sea
Or hanging on a tree care-free

Walking around on grassy plain
Or in a bog like a crane
In jungles swinging on the vines
Bushes planted in straight lines

Rain forests provides so many habitats
houses are homes to domestic house cats
Habitats make our amazing environment
Therefore habitats are an essential requirement

The present description

The Present:
A description of the main character

His big, light sienna eyes were glued to the tv proven to the fact that he was addicted / obsessed with playing  video games. He was wearing a dark lapis coloured jumper and navy blue jeans that were cut off on one side because he had lost a limb. The boy was also wearing a pair of voguish black and white sneakers. Also he had dusty looking brunette coloured hair. His skin was a pale beige and freckles spread across his small but round face.

Ignorant to everything around him, (his mum and the present) the boy continued playing on the screen in a gloomy, dark space. Depressed, gloomy and ignorant, the boy was to all his surroundings. As the bright, light shone from behind him he squinted in despair. He hesitated but continued playing video games in his dismal aroma.

colour poem-black

WALT - Use figurative language in our writing

Black

Black reminds me of over cooked sausages still sizzling on barbecue
Black is the night sky, a big black blanket pierced by a million speaks of light
Black sounds like chairs squeaking across the lino as the legs are dragged across the polished floor
Black makes feel like I am trapped in a box with no visual way to escape
Black is a black bird going chirp chirp chirp at breaking dawn
Black is the midnight sky shielding me with its black cloak
Black smells like burnt toast popping up from the toaster
Black tastes like hard, salty black liquorice forming a horrible taste in my mouth
