WALT - Use figurative language in our writing
Black
Black reminds me of over cooked sausages still sizzling on barbecue
Black is the night sky, a big black blanket pierced by a million speaks of light
Black sounds like chairs squeaking across the lino as the legs are dragged across the polished floor
Black makes feel like I am trapped in a box with no visual way to escape
Black is a black bird going chirp chirp chirp at breaking dawn
Black is the midnight sky shielding me with its black cloak
Black smells like burnt toast popping up from the toaster
Black tastes like hard, salty black liquorice forming a horrible taste in my mouth
That is beautiful, Caroline. I can relate to "Black is the midnight sky shielding me ...". That is so lovely.
